Amsoil. The SYN3 oil is barely a synthetic.

Use whatever floats your boat. IMHO it's not the oil you use... As long as you stick to changing it when needed. It's a tractor motor! However, my diesel truck likes and runs quiter on Mobil1 synthetic than any of the other oils I've tried.

Ask 50 people what kind of oil they use and you will get 50 answers. Each one swearing theirs is best and have personal stories of a friends cousins roomates dog walker who had a bad time with your suggestion.
LOTS of research on the web and plenty of long discussions here on the forum.
Pick your poison and just change every 3k for conventional or 5k synthetic and use a good filter. And not the 5micron ultra $$$. 15micro is fine.

Run any quality 20w50 in there and you'll be fine. Doesn't even have to be v-twin specific, unless you put it in the priamary.

This isn't a new question.
A search would give you plenty of links and info.
