If he truly has title in hand, I hope it doesn't say 1986 on it.

He told me he prints them up himself (good laser printer) and he can put any year I want on there.
Would a 1957 Sportster be worth more than a 1958 XLR ?

Gosh no, it's really rough, Parts bike for sale. It needs everything I just hope I can salvage the motor. Missing RF caliper, fuel tank is rusty, foreign controls, some mad max foot pegs kinda forwards, shifter shaft butchered, no seat, welded fender, no front fender, no horn or upper motor strap/keyswitch mount. The Rear wheel was off and I caught him before he took a hacksaw to the frame trying to install a drum brake hardtail kit! It seems like everything on it was broken or missing parts, even the badass chopper headlight is junk! (first thing that came off). Someone cut out all the wiring.

After having to install a working front MC so I could unload it out of the truck, I tried to do a compression check but the starter was smoked.
I knocked together a starter from the junk pile got it spinning and found it has a bad piston in the rear. (the oil is clean though).

Then I took all the crap off it so I can clean it and see what I have (can't touch it without getting filthy).
I'll cut open the oil filter tomorrow and see if it's clean. If that is good I'll stick a piston in it and see how it runs. Otherwise I'll reduce it to it's basic components.
