A professional looking build, for sure. Miles above some of the tasteless hack jobs seen all over the net, primarily due to budget and skillset. This is not someone’s learning experience. Having said all that; you seem to really like it...and sound like you can easily afford it, that’s all that matters in the end.

They ARE drivers. They do not ride the horse, but direct (drive) the horse.

A jockey rides the horse.

Drive truck, ride bike. That's my opinion anyway.

Update.... So i 'rode' my new bike! I ended up working out a deal with no hard feelings. I ended up paying $7450. I felt really good about it and he did also. I really like it. It handles almost as good as a standard sporty. There is no chopper flop at all. The little bit of rake is almost unnoticeable. The 4" extended forks are perfect. Super low seat height is great as well. Not a big deal getting used to the right side shift. I can easily go back and forth from this to my 18 Road Glide np. Starts like a champ. No issues. The stock looking pipes that have been ceramic coated are not to my or my wife's likings however. I'll take a lot of crap on this, but i'm considering a set of Paughco upswept gooseneck pipes.. I'll put some lollipops in them, but these pipes are way to quiet.... I'll have to double check on the jetting obviosouly... other than that, my wife and i are very happy! Thanks to all of you who commented...even the haters... we all have our opinions.

Have an original service/shop manual coming in on Monday. Look forward to keeping it well maintained and the learning experience. Also to working with the original builder. He wants my wife and I to come back to his shop to get all the photos he took of the build to give to us. (and to tease me once again with the matching big brother bike he built, 68 shovelhead.)
