Default Difference between 2-1 and 2-2 exhaust

Hello everyone,

Im new here, and Ive a 1000cc late Ironhead.

The ironhead has now a 2-1 exhaust without baffle , just nice! but i prefer 2-2 exhaust.
Can someone tell me or 2-2 sounds bigger/nicer/deeper?

Are there more exhaust than the Paugco pipes?

Greets
Anton

2-1 is 2 pipes into 1
2-2 is duals or 2 pipes
2-1-2 is 2 pipes into a 1 of some kind and back into 2 pipes
All in the eye of the beholder or ear in this case I guess
The say 2-1 will help more on bottom end and 2-2 for drag racing

Sound has more to do with size of pipe, collector/muffler/baffle, length of pipe, then of course how the motor is set up; high compression, cam duration, overall power of motor/range of power, all of those make a MAJOR difference.
You can take one pipe off of one motor and put it on another and it will sound different. Then of course there is how the pipe sounds from the riders seat compared to the spectators position.

I also prefer 2-2 exhaust because they look better and sound better. Very happy with my Cycle Shacks and don't think I would go with a different exhaust on this bike.

A 2-1 pipe will give you maybe 3-5 more HP, but it's not worth the look and sound.

I completely disagree. Unless you mean loud sounds better???? IMO 2:1 look, work and sound better.

You sit there and listen to it, I'll see you at the finish line!
