An ambitious trip, and one that should be immensely satisfying! Keep it safe!

I've had this machine about 3 months now, and have found a few things that needed doing besides setting up the suspension, and cleaning up various items.
New tensioner, pushrod blocks and top end rocker gaskets coming this month; to do over winter. Presently replacing the 5th gear/front sprocket bearing and seals; this one ate a bearing. Other than that I love this machine. So visceral, quick a quirky. Handles like it's on rails and pulls like a bear.
I hope to run to the South Rim, Sedona and south to the 66, across to the big pond and home to Victoria; next June.
Word of warning: use the correct tool for removing the final drive gear from that bearing. I once saw a guy try to pound it out of there, and he broke his right case half in the process. The service manual shows the correct tool in action. Not a place to cut a corner.
