Spray on water resistance
I'm packing to head out to NM (USA) and watching the weather forecasts. I may get caught in the rain. My 3+ season jacket is an old Alpinestars T-GP Textile Jacket and I have Fly Butane overpants. 10,000+ ft mountain passes in the rain get cold in September/October, and I'm kinda a pussy in my old age.
Any recommendations for spray-on water "proofing" you've found to actually be somewhat effective?

Liberal application of “Camp Dry” has worked for me in the past. I now seek out “Gore-Tex” laminate.
Also, get some seam seal and at the very least do any seams that have pressure put on them. IE crotch area, etc.
I’ve also used “Thompson’s Water Seal” on occasion with decent results.

Kiwi Camp Dry Heavy Duty Water Repellent.
This stuff really works. I just got back from riding out to New Mexico. I ran into heavy rain in Colorado heading out and an absolute deluge in Illinois on my way back. I'd given my textile jacket and pants a liberal dose before leaving. The only water that came thru was my jeans' cuffs getting wet and wicking water and thru the zippers on my NOT waterproof jacket. I'm impressed. I'd have been a drowned rat without treating my gear.
