Default 04 cracked oil tank

I have an o4 XL with a cracked oil tank; came that way from the factory (long story). Can anyone tell me what the part number is for the oil tank and are there any other part numbers that I will need to replace the tank? Thank you very much!

The part # is 62888-04 and you'll need 3 new (all different sizes) clips/clamps to secure the 3 oil lines to the new tank. I would just use standard clips/clamps from your local hardware store, but if you want originals the numbers are 10014, 10080 & 10142.

These numbers are all from an 2006 parts catalog but should be good for your 2004.

Cheers,

OR.........

i would suggest a later pn (see on Ronnies)... since they installed a release waste valve on them... so no more crack...

i did not remember from what model year they started... sure guys more experts than me here know

oh oh... i see now Npaisnel already wrote precisely abouth that... sorry...

The 10psi oil tank pressure relief valve was added in 2010 -

http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...oil04#oil_tank

It looks like there was another oil tank change in 2014- Part# 62500017 Year Intro 2014
