If you have a short length (~4”) of stranded wire laying around, crimp or solder on some ring terminals and install them the way 72’ said and that should be plenty.

No ground wire needed.
See the metal strap that goes over the grommets at the two grommet end?
That grounds the regulator....

Assuming the mounting bolts are grounded!

Was just reading about those rubber mounting bolts. They said sometimes they have springs inside, but not always, and sometimes the springs can break and you wouldn't know it.
