Default Compression and oil pump

Hi,

I have an "06 Sportster with a 1250 conversion along with gas flowed heads and larger intake valves. I replaced the standard oil pump with an Ultima High Volume Oil Pump p/nr 98 675. Could not find any reviews on line and was wondering if someone else installed it and what their opinion of it is?

I also had a compression test done and the tech report 10 bar (145 psi) on the front and 11 bar (159,5) on the rear. Is this within spec for a 1250?

First off, the actual psi on a compression test depends on the gauge among other things like cams. That said, a 15psi difference is borderline significant imo.
I'd be doing a leak down test.

A compression tester that doesn't have a schrader valve in the end of the hose that screws in the heads is going to read low. Mine read 165 on a 1250 but it read 165 on both. When I checked it with a better tester with the schrader valve in the proper location they both read 210.
The fact yours is 15psi different is the issue. Not a huge difference but enough to indicate a problem on that front cylinder. A leakdown test will tell you where.
You can also try squirting a little oil in that front cylinder and test it again. If it comes up, that indicates rings.

Make sure the throttle was held wide open during the test, and the opposite spark plug was removed.

If you still have the stock CV carb you need to lift the slide in the carb as well.
