Yeah, I’ve gone heavier on all of mine. Even tried some service entrance cable but the weight slowed the bike too much!

Just an interesting thing on corrosion inside a wire. I worked in a facility that had an electrical fire in one section.Wires were run in a chase way that was also used to move air. The air in the chase way had corrosive gasses in it and this was known. The wiring was in a protective enclosure, or so was thought. Corrosion caused high resistance and a fire. The post fire investigation showed corrosion 2 feet up the wire under the insulation. A sister facility had just installed a similar system with modern terminations and that was inspected. Guess what, corrosion! After about 4 months of being put into service a redesign had to be done. A very expensive lesson for not paying attention to detail. A connection that is subject to corrosive liquids/gasses has to be incapsulated. And yes I know easer said than done. But we can inspect.

You cain't never see the condition of the wires inside the insulation.

Mech installed a new starter in my duramax couple years ago suggested I have the ground lead replaced. dual battery setup I said heck yes. Grounds are the root of many syptoms

Old age-I actually listen sometimes now
