i will only buy high end engine components. i just replaced the pistons in my S&S stroker. the replacement pistons have both the S&S & TRW stamping on the underside of the dome. S&S did not have any forged .060 pistons available, had to have them made. i waited 3 weeks for them. TRW is a very respectable brand that provides castings for majority of aftermarket companies including the leaders in aftermarket world. S&S does not make their own parts. they are outsourced, then marked up like 500% with the S&S logo on it. wish i would have known. trw will make special order stuff any way you want it for like $40 a piston + cost of rings. vs $330 for 2 pistons & rings from S&S

the original pistons that came in the stroker kit did have the trw logo in them btw. at some point they may have changed suppliers

+1 I think there is a need..... and I understand a 1 off or small lot can be expensive,.... but worth it to a guy like me...
