I put the HD black long stem tapered mirrors on mine.
Vision is greatly improved.

Couldn't see sh*t with the OEM Nightster mirrors, except my shoulders.

Bought a cheap-ass pair of bar ends (Chinese knockoff Oberons), and now I can actually see what's behind me.

Flipped the mirrors under the bars and I can now see fine.

2006 1200C mirrors work fine for me. The field of view is great. Now, can I see things that are not blurred? That is another question! Some speeds are pretty clear, others blur enough that I can tell something is there, but I can't tell what it is.

I could only see a car in the next lane if they were within 20' of the back of the bike. No good.

Hoping to do better with bar ends (once the rain stops).

Depends on your stock bars. Mine are fine (mini apes).

I let a friend ride lil pig(yes,VERY hard to believe)and when he came back he says "man those mirrors sit on and view perfectly-I love how they sit".Only difference is I put a set of older stupid glide bars on her. What made me happy is I knew then he didn't wind her out because after 70 all there is in those mirrors is figure 8 reflections.....lol.They do sit the bike and work great around 60-65 tho.....The 'rubber mount bikes' mirrors dance like a drunk stripper on idle but are smooth as silk going down the road.
