The other 50th anniversary parts are going cheap on Ebay, points cover, derby cover and the 3 piece set (AC, sissy bar and fender).

I bought an extra AC insert and cut it into a lower triple tree medallion.

The eagle medallion on my fender was from 1982. It is the 25th Anniversary Sportster medallion. I bought it back then thinking it would be neat to put it on a 50th anniversary Sporty and I did.

This pic is not up to date. I'll post some newer pics if it ever stops RAINING here!
Still, "mustn't grumble"--I just heard on the news that most of Canada's been getting plastered.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all Canadian XLF Team Members !!

Nice bikes guys.

Hey ....angus, did your nightster come with the chopped fender and side mount plate? I was under the impression that the side plate wasn't legal in Canada......

The short answer is that falls into a grey area, at least in BC. Lots of people have them and most cops won't hassle you about it unless you insist.

...I had to look it up.

http://www.bclaws.ca/Recon/document/...l#section3.011

3.011(b) and 3.02.

from that, I'd say the side is legal as long as it's not mounted vertical. Although the wheel may be seen as obstruction from a road side viewing position 3.03
