1994 sportster shifter jamming
I'm having some issues with my bike's shifter getting stuck and not going into gear. I have a pingel electric shifter and I thought it was the shift actuator had went bad but when the bike wasn't running and I was trying to cycle through the gears by just pushing the button the actuator would barely move I reached down to pull it up into gear the shifter was stuck in place and when I rocked the bike a little it would eventually go into gear after a couple tries and then the pingel would work again after a couple tries and then get stuck again. The bike has a fairly new clutch and bearings. I also adjusted the shifter pawl and readjusted the clutch. The shifter will do the same thing when I'm moving down the road, it will work a couple times and then barely move because its jammed.
I'm a paraplegic and have no use of my feet so I have to use the pingel to be able to ride and I'm wondering if there is something else I can check, maybe in my transmission? before I send this shifter off to be checked out by pingel because it could take them 6 weeks to get it back to me and it may not even be the problem. I have a fsm and have built this motor up so pulling the trans out if I have to isnt a big deal Any help is really appreciated!!

If all the shifting parts are in order, you might think about the gear dogs being worn.
