Default Do I need... (Flash Of The Computer?)

On my 07 1200C I already have some drag slip-ons with baffles that were on the bike when I got it. It still has the factory paper air filter as well. I recently installed VIEDs set to 14.0-1 to help it run cooler and smoother. I have been reading on needing a tune with both exhaust and a better flowing A/C installed. If I were to install a Hammer performance Impact A/C would I need to do a flash of the computer or does the VIEDs cover the fuel needs enough to be good? I understand a good dyno tune and recal of the computer is best, but not an option right now. Thanks

I have the Xied’s and they can handle free flowing pipes and AC. I would expect Vied’s could do the same.

Try calling the manufacturer.

You will be fine.... I did just this and the bike ran good. BUT I then switched to a Thundermax aftermarket and the bike ran a LOT better. So its a case of you get what you pay for in this area.

I have read somewhere that using xieds or vieds may cause a trouble code. In itself that is not a problem but I wonder if that would then mask other DTCs such that you wouldn't know if you got a new / different one?

on the obd2 thingy
there is an hierarchy to the coding system and yes, one coded out component can cause other coding since they are inter-dependent. been a long time but if memory serves me right start with higher codes and work backwards.
it should not mask the code as it should display but i can send you chasing ghosts.

That was not the case on my 2008 Sportster, no trouble codes and I wouldn't expect any since the XIED just makes a slight change to the O2 sensor voltage.
