So I pulled the mag removed the old coil cleaned the cavity installed the new coil. Removed the old condenser, installed the new one, same with the spark plugs. Reinstalled the magneto, set the timing. Fired right up. Now back to chasing noise.

The magneto has been functioning on a wing and a prayer till the other day. I had only put points and a condenser in it and worked for awhile. When I pulled the coil out there was sand and bugs in the cavity. The rotor is rusted. Magnetism is strong. The old coil had numerous cracks from age. Spring to spring ohms was 0. Pretty sure coil was done.
