Default Anyone go racing last weekend?




Set the clutch this spring and never touched it. Pretty consistent 1.70’s leaving at 3k and whacking the throttle. Gonna grind some more spring this winter and attempt to leave at higher rpm’s. Would like to get the tach to 4500 and not drop below that and stay consistent. Front wheel hovered nice for first gear most of the year

Keeping the street bike as is for me to have something to race. Matt will be on the 120” next year when his schedule allows. Going back to the 7 inch tire for him next season. Having trouble keeping a crankshaft in it. Got a new crank ready and changing the build a little. I can’t be rebuilding the crank every 25/30 passes. Trying to find a happier combo. He said it was close but I’m not happy with it. I’ll figure it out.

Had two races so far, out in the first round both times. Went back to a 7inch tires so pretty much starting over. Been gaining on it every pass. Lost on a B/Out and that tells me it’s
close. Been tuning on the new clutch and 60’s we’re within .006 on the day. We’ll learn to pick the dial better as we get more comfortable with the combo.

I hadn't made a clean hit in over 25 passes. I took that pos to the finals last race and almost got protested for not making a pass under 10.99. I effed up Q1 and left in 2nd..... Again.... Q2 blew the tire off.... Thought I had 18 psi in it... Had 21.5.... Rd1... She left like that... Hit my shifts... Look back at 1k and cannot see him.. roll off and get a bunch of brake... 10.68@112 on a 10.89 dial... She was hauling the mail. I was so happy to get a clean pass that I couldn't give 2 effs that I went out in Rd1.

You guys seem to be having fun out there. Me, I got four bikes here and not one roadworthy. Had just ridden through another Michigan winter and now, with great weather, am sidelined, sigh!
