It did, it doesn't. I've disabled "deceleration enleanment", run a 12.8:1 AFR at 20 KPa MAP and have the "closed throttle spark" (timing) set to where I like the amount closed throttle deceleration it has, or doesn't have. It's nice to have time to button or zip your jacket and/or cuffs while it coasts down...

This another reason to like the ex version TC88A. You can up the low manifold pressure advance. 15 or 16 in/hg MAP is not deceleration, it's part throttle cruise. 8 or 10 in/hg is deceleration. Don't believe it? Just hook up a gauge to monitor manifold pressure (or vacuum) and go for a ride.

Thank you, I’ll look into those settings.

I’ve seen where people use the quick tune function/area to add a % of fuel and/or timing to the decel field to rectify but I don’t particularly care for that. I still need to explore the unit more but hoping to make physical changes to the map itself to rectify if auto tuning doesn’t do the trick.

What have you TC88A guys done to rectify decel popping (if related to timing?). I had excess decel popping with the same map and same exact setup as OP. Fueling was spot on, could naturally of been a few diff things (fairly confident my original intake mani seals were to blame) but looking to understand what changes to consider if OP experiences the same.

Joe - let us know how she runs after you upload the map that Highly-D did up for you.

I wasn’t able to get out for too long before the rain hit but put the bike through a range of tests before I had to call it a day. Overall, it ran much better. The map I ran before was a Jester VI from 16-30 map but below 16, I had to build my own using the framework of a soft initial/ advanced slope map as a guide. That map had the bike running terrible after longer lights / idle times.

Thankfully, Franco’s map greatly improved over the one that brought me to post. No detonation, plugs look good, responsive down low, no pops on decel, and all without losing the mid and top end that the Jester VI offered.
