"I love to clean my bike my own. I cleaned it at home and cleaned every day. I don't tolerate a pitch of dirt on it because I love it so much."

I hate to clean my bike. I don't clean it at home and I don't clean every day. I do tolerate all dirt, grease, oil, and road grime, because I love it so mush.

While I don't like to get my bike dirty, I don't worry about it getting dirty when I ride. I actually get all the bugs off everything as soon as I get back home because they tend to harden with age and they are much easier to clean when freshly dead. Same with the face shield -- I carry eyeglass spray in my bag just for that. A splat on my face shield makes me cross-eyed.
One of the things I actually like about my "standard" is the lack of chrome. That means there is less for me to clean. My pipes and hamcan stay spotless; the rest of it, not so much.

Isn't cleaning supposed to be the responsibility or the wife and daughter?

All joking aside, half the time it gets done by the wife and daughter, because trucking takes me away from home so much I'm not around to do it.

Since the water at the house leaves white spots on everything, we generally use a non ammonia window cleaner that she picks up by the case at the warehouse store, and then hit it with some spray wax and a microfiber cloth.
