Comparing marijuana use to alcohol use is like comparing pistol fire to having a mortar land in your lap. They are both deadly. Marijuana use slows your reaction time. Do you want the school bus driver who carts your grandchildren around to be skunk-high on dope. Probably not, huh? Most of the supporters of legal pot are users, maybe addicted, or expecting to make a lot of money off other's misery. Similar to alcohol, and we know that never hurt anyone, don't we?

Many people like myself use or have used alcohol and marijuana. Most of those people will agree with me on which one impairs driving more, alcohol. Comparing something legal such as alcohol to something illegal such as marijuana is completely rational in that they are both physically and mentally altering. I do not advocate anyone operating a motor vehicle of any kind under the influence of any type illegal or legal drugs. All that being said i think marjuana being a legal recreation drug is a given. Given the fact that alcohol is legal and renders its user more useless than any marijuana user. Also, the skunk high on dope bus driver with 1/2 the reaction time would also be operating that bus at 1/2 speed with twice as much paranoia so he would be paying twice as much attention and that should make his/her reaction time almost as good as a sober person driving double speed. Correct?

Actually there have been a couple of government studies on this and they found in one that a pot head drives better than a person completely sober. On another it showed the pot head was slightly worse. BTW, both were suppressed at the time (of course.)

I'm throwing the BS flag. I just saw a Colorado DOT that showed pot related fatalities up sharply (10% of all traffic deaths) since legalization. Factcheck.org says 20% of all fatalities.

In 1978 I almost got killed by a forklift driver who smoked his lunch. He pinned me to a stack of plywood and running over my fortunately steel toed boot. He reaction to my being upset?....... what's the big deal, man? My leg was bruised and sore for a week... what's the big deal, man? My foot was numb for months... what's the big deal, man?

Pot is the most selfish, self-centered drug there is. What's the big deal, man? Those under the influence are completely indifferent to the huge pain in the butt that they are.

Washington state had the same issues as Colorado.
