I think I should wrap my sporty
Hey everyone,
I'm planning to give my Sportster 883 a sleek matte black appearance by wrapping it. However, I'm starting to have doubts about the process. I've been using this Viking's magnetic tank bag " https://www.vikingbags.com/survival-...-tank-bags.htm" without any issues regarding the magnets, so I'm concerned about how the wrap might impact the stickiness of the tank bag with the tank. Moreover, I'm worried about possible harm to the original paint if I decide to remove the wrap later on.
I would greatly appreciate your insights on this topic.

I talked with a guy that took the wrap off his car. He got tired of it. He was upset because it f'd up the original paint job.

Why not just buy used gas tank & fenders, paint them the way you like and swap them for the stock pieces?

If I go with this then I would need to change the side covers and back mudguard along with the tank which cost me a lot but compared to this wrapping will cost me very little.
One more question, Just wondering if there are any Motorcycle backpacks that offer a hydration pack. I checked the Viking bags and RevZilla but could not find any backpacks with hydration pack.

do not think you will have issue with the magnetic field. 3M makes a clear film that is used as a chip guard if you think contact point might cause wear, but it will be noticeable with bags off.
so what was the issue with removing the wrap? residue from adhesive?
