Default first bike in 20 years.

i just bought my first bike since i was in college.
picked up a 2010 1200 sportster low.
i put a couple hundred miles on it with my permit.
where is the best place to go take my safety course to get my endorsement?

Welcome to the forums from Indiana!

I saw a couple of the dealers in Michigan offer HD Riding academy classes.
https://www.harley-davidson.com/us/e...program_codes=

I'm not sure if they are what is required in Michigan for a license/endorsement since the law seems to say a school needs to run the class?

http://www.legislature.mi.gov/(S(1rk...e=mcl-257-811a
A motorcycle safety course required under section 312b conducted by a college or university, an intermediate school district, a local school district, a law enforcement agency, or any other governmental agency located in this state shall be conducted under this section.

Welcome to the forum. https://www.msf-usa.org/BRC.aspx
Did you try putting in your zip code of the MSF website? They might list some courses in your area. Veeflys

Here in Texas a riders course is not required but a riding test consisting of a written part and a riding part where you are followed by a DPS Officer is. I passed both parts with just a bit of read up and common sense driving rules. However my son did take a Dealer sponsored riding course. I am glad he did. I would highly recommend the riders course if you are a total novice or have not ridden in many years. Most Dealerships offer them. My son paid $300.00 to take his.
