Looks lovely, very nice bike and I like what you're trying to achieve and what you've done so far. I too don't see much 40's in it though. I could only think a 40's paint scheme would give it that look, but then it's an iron and supposed to be black, so that's where my ideas run out I'm afraid. Not much help, sorry

40 !!! Lets not even go there, all I can remember about the 40s is not good... When you crank till you are wet with sweat then lay in the ditch till you cool off and try again, I don't want to go there...  ... I did ride, but never owned one of the old Harleys which is why I never owned a Harley till I bought my 09 Sporty at age 72...lol...
I guess the look would be OK, but just keep it sorta looks like...lol...

The only and i mean only thing i am not a fan of is the use of a seat spring when the bike has shocks, to me its to much clutter and "springy-ness?"
Other than that i love the scoot and love how the exhaust looks
