Hey Peter, Once the yellowish anodized coating is off, polishing is pretty much a breeze. This is my first post, not sure how to post pics. I just finished polishing. This time I did it the easy way.. There is always a trick to make it easy. I used the tip from the Horsewriter, Matt D.

Can't post more than one pic at a time? And 77.5 kb exceeds size by 43.8 kb? Cant link url either. Not good.
|
You need 15 posts to link URL and a resizer program for your photos. Keep trying.

His pics are posted on clubchopper like mine and the site is down, hence the x'sssssss. When chopper comes up the pics reappear.

Looks great! I can't wait to get mine polished up. Looks like a million bucks compared to the orignal anodized coating and cast aluminum.

Bob, as you can see, I did not keep trying. My last post here was 8 days short of one year ago.
I did resize my pix, to the correct size, over & over again & still got the notice that it the image was to large. That got very time consuming & very old & in short order.
No wonder that there have been very few posts in this thread since last year. Only 6 ? since Dec 27 06, 3 of those complaining of no pix/red X.
I subscribe to the old adage that one picture is worth a thousand words. I did want to show off my polishing & drilling of lightning holes on my old S1. What better way to establish a dialog here. I think people would be interested. It is my favorite bike of several.
I could blabber on for 15 posts trying to tell you how it looks, but could never convey what one or two one pix would.
So I have to make 15 posts to link to my Photobucket pix? I do not understand the reasoning behind this. Everyone likes pix. One picture really is worth a thousand words.
I have/am a member of several boards & have never seen such a rule. Indeed, when someone new comes on to a board, members often immediately request pix. Requiring 15 posts first seems to discourage people from posting. It sure did discourage me. Can't even link to an interesting post or pix that are posted on another board?
I don't get it.
