I started growing older (not planning to grow up) in White Sulphur Springs in the 1950's through the 1970's. I've lived in lots of places and now I live less than 20 miles across the border near I64 west of Covington, VA, and still in the mountains. I ride all over WV and VA as much as possible.

Boomer, WV? I didn't know that I chose a name from an existing town. Love it!

For those of us from WV, it's not surprising that John Denver had never been there before. None of the geographic places in the song are actually in WV; they're all in VA. They're barely across the border but they are still across the border. I just wish his songwriter (it may have been him) had done his homework first.

When you get off the interstate in WV, all of the roads are perfect for motorcycles.

When you make your pit stops, try to find a local diner, small restaurant or any small establishment to meet some really great people and fine dining and hospitality.
