That link you posted is dead. I guess after 12 years it would be.

I know this is a very old topic with tons of info, my question is that I have access to a rear laced wheel and michelin commander 150/80 16 tire already mounted off a 2010 sportster, will I have any issues with that wheel?

Hey Scoot'er
In lieu of someone knowing offhand, I would check the part numbers and run it down from there.

Try Ronnie's: https://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche...ModelYear=2017

Scroll Down, select year, etc -check part for rear wheel on each bike.

If its close, then I think it will be about working the axle+bearing puzzle.

Of course, you gotta figure the "tire" dim will work as well (150 ..I think it'll work, but I'm not schmoozing data righ tnow and so uncertain. Obviously data is onsite here, and you can measure your situation for that.)

Just off the top of my head.

Don’t overlook the “Sportsterpedia “ as an excellant resource with these questions, you may be impressed!

On the rigids most could mount a 140 without issue,(I ran Avon 140’s on the 2000 for years), a few could sneak a 150 inthere I believe the Metzler 880 was one of them, not sure if its’ still availible. The width dimensions were not written in stone, between different manufacturers and even different tire lines of a manufacturer you will find different widths. Just saying.....oh never mind

You can get it to fit but not without some work. I just finished putting a 150 on my 2003 and I had to clean out the fender, no nuts or bolts sticking out, and I did a chain conversion. My shinko tire rubbed a little on the chain but the Metzler 888 clears. It's mm if clearence all the way around but nothing rubs so yes it is possible but it won't be a simple bolt right up thing.

Looks sweet though with a 150!
