1. You have to mine lithium which is mined by what? Heavy machinery which is powered by diesel which emits pollution.
2. The ignorance of the child slave labor to mine Cobalt which is used in almost every battery produced. Which is beyond disgusting.
3. Where is electricity produced? Oh yeah that's right not from magic but from mainly coal. Solar and wind will never be able to produce enough energy and both of those are also built off a fallacy.
4. These EV's and the concept of them would have never gotten a foothold if it wasn't for the Government heavily subsidizing them. They want to say that people want EV's based off market demand and that's a lie. If it was based off market demand then take away the incentives. It's all a lie and a giant joke.
I love the sound of my Harley and if they ever switched to EV "motor"cycles I would condemn it. Furthermore who wants to ride an automatic soulless toaster?

Also, there is the problem of disposing of the old batterys.

I have a friend in the industry and they are beginning to recycle them. There is new technology that does allow them to be recycled into battery grade materials on a small scale and hopefully all will be recycled in the next few years.

My insurance co used my cell to track my driving habits
My rates went up. Trouble is they insure my truck, which I drive normally.
"Safe Driver License" no points.
They are using the data from my bike riding.
I went with a new co and they want my permission to do the same again and I said no, so they will raise me for that.
I have no desire to ride an electric bike.

I voted yes because of the technology. Is it mature? No. To me thats the exciting thing. What will they look like in a year? As battery technology improves the entire vehicle will. I have an e-mountain bike and the things that will do and the way it happens is amazing.
Has the technology reached it's peak on IC? No. And the next generation of IC engines will also be amazing. Keep an open mind!

Sure, why not? Would I replace my ICE bike with one? No. Electric motorcycle are a different type of vehicle. I doubt they'll ever have the cosplay pageantry of Harleys,
The biggest thing for me is I live in a rural area and most often when I head out, I'm going to put 50-100 miles in over 50 MPH. There aren't many bikes available now that would suit my needs. Most are for city commuting.
