No Doodah, that's me.
Your dementia is starting to make you crazy.

The re-size tool was I believe included with Win 7. It was dropped and included in something called "Power Toys" in 8 or 10.

I would show everyone how to download and install the re-size tool. It makes it such a simple thing to do. If you can click on a file name you can re-size it to fit on here perfectly. 640 x 480 is what you want, The old VGA standard viewport.

But of course these are Windows tools and if everyone else is working from Android phones I can't help the. (Maybe no one can ?)
I would have said the same for journalists who all use Mac's but they are all either in jail or have long ago been fired and are too poor to own a computer anymore.

The reason I don't have Win 10 is because I keep automatic updates turned off.
I decide what unneccessarily fills up my hard drive.

We have a great idea how you can manage your pictures, here take this or else.
Well, I don't need any new programs as the ones I have work.
Sorry, we don't care.

Reasons I hate Win 10

1. We were given no choice not to use it.
I bought Win 8, tried to install it and got a warning that it had security issues and they were offering a free upgrade to Win 10.
If the operating system goes bad... (lightning killed programs in the initial program) I can scrap the whole hard drive and load anew.
But not with Win10
Same reason I refuse to do business with Photobucket.
Microsoft hijacked us in the same way.

2. Family emergencies and the like were front and center at the time.
Learning a complete new format was not as important as business I had to attend to online.
Sorry, we don't care.

3. We were told by Microsoft "We let you have Win XP for 12 years".
Nope.... I bought the software from Best Buy, still have the receipt.
I own it.
Microsoft decided after the stock market crash in 2008, they would never lose money again.
So now we rent the software, Word, even Adobe Pro unless you pay out the arse, Photoshop and the list goes on.
I own several programs I can't use anymore because they need money more than I need the programs.
Sorry, we don't care.

4. Apps
I don't care how conveinient they are, they are not worth giving away my freedom.
Apps keep up with your every move. Win 10 operates lots of it's programs based off apps.
I tried the free upgrade and quickly removed the operating system after a few days.
You are given apps to many different commercial organizations.
These programs are stealing your information and your privacy.
I bet there is a little Chinaman in a little corner somewhere that has a complete list of how many cups of coffee you drink in the morning.
Most of the major programs on the computer was tied to apps.

5. I'm set in ways. I have a right to be that way being raised in United States of America.
Too much Chinese / Japanese / Tiawanese influence to my upbringing.
There will be a time when I'll fade away entirely from the internet.

I hated widoze from version 3.0 on. That was their first graphical user interface and it sucked big time.
They still make sh*t operating system that lacks security and stability.

But I have an answer for you which is available to everyone free of charge.

Unix and it's many derivatives of Linux versions. This is open source software so if you don't like it change it yourself.
Open Software Foundation has produced many other pieces of software that are better than Microsnot's.
As an example look at Apache's Open Office. Why would anyone on earth PAY for Microsnot's Office when Open Office is free, better and more stable ? I have no idea.

But marketing trumps everything. So people do look at what the market is using. If 90% of your users are using IE on Win 10 you have to support that. Doesn't matter if it's krap (which it is) tou still have to cater for it.

At the end of the day no one "forces" you to buy any product. You as a consumer make that choice. There are alternative operating systems. You just have to learn them.

Most people buy Microsnot's products because it's the EASIEST option. Not because it's the best option.
