I took a good look after I put the primary cover back on and the shifter shaft takes up a lot of space in the tiny window and I doubt even with some fancy angled forceps I could have reset the spring.

Now I have to take the cover off again because my adjuster is rattling against the cover. I thought the adjuster rod was sticking out an awful lot; sometimes it sucks to be right.
