There are plenty of state campgrounds in the Adirondacks. I go camping up there every year. I have been to atleast 6 different ones. Most are pretty good. They have been updated the bathrooms in alot of them. Some I have done is Putnam pond, mecham lake, lewey lake, lake Durant is one of the best ones, nicks lake, lake Luzern and a few others. Lake taghahonic state park is my favorite but not in the Adirondacks. I do my family reunion there every year. They have cabins but they only rent them out by the week during peak season.

Made my way home yesterday. West Virginia and western Maryland provided some nice roads on my return trip (and PA). I really like WV. Virginia has a lot to offer too. I have always wanted to go to the Adirondacks, but they're in New York, lol.

Lake Durant is just down the road from there and lake Eaton just north by long lake, not a lot of roads to ride around there, many dead end at hiking trails . Most are long sweeping turns, but it's still not a bad area. Can easily make it to lake George from there if you like that. A lot of hiking, fishing, rafting and other outdoor activities to do around there. I camped not far from there for a week with Reddtigger, his father and friend one year on the side of one of the ponds they have around there and hunted.
One place I have always wanted to stop at was Tail of the pup. It's a bbq restaurant that has some lodging as well. It gets busy sometimes.

If there is no new gathering planned for late summer then I’ll be @ Seneca Shadows for the end of Aug. or start of Sept.. Going to make a reservation based on when the school year starts and the parks are emptier.
Enjoy the summer folks and ride safe.

End of August and early September would be good for a shore run. That’s about the best that we can offer here in Michigan. Have been hoping for a Lake Superior loop for a long time. Would recommend planning a solid week to do it, lots of miles for many that haven’t pushed themselves lately. Just putting it out there.......
