if i had a legit '57 xl i'd be showing off the vin#on the left case.it can barely be seen in 1 pic with magnification.

It does have 57XL on the case, but with any bike like that, believe nothing in the ad, look at in person and know your facts, keep your butt against the wall...
And if you find yourself getting excited and think you really want it, best not to go look at it.

$5k is not crazy for an authentique, even not well-cared for might be a good deal.
