Just thought I'd post a video of my 1200C which I thought might be of particular interest to those considering a backrest. I can honestly say, in over 40 years of riding, THIS IS BY FAR THE BEST MOD I'VE EVER DONE! BAR NONE! It has completely transformed the ride of this bike. I can now accelerate as hard as I like and my arms remain completely relaxed. The strain on my back from the forward controls has been completely alleviated, leaving my back upright, relaxed and incredibly comfortable. My legs are also now completely relaxed. No need to hang on at speeds in excess of 60mph, even high speeds. Regardless of speed or acceleration your back, arms and legs remain completely strain free. If I'd have known how good these were years ago I'd have either bought one of these if they existed or had one made. Add to that it takes all of 5 minutes to install... I'm speechless at just how nice the ride now is! Civilisation dawns!!

LOL! Yes, it can but my bike is slightly lowered so not a problem. The rest also just pulls out so if it is a problem you can always slot it back into place after mounting.
