Any idea when specs will come out on these bikes?
Also I originally thought Buell when I saw the 'street fighter' but I pulled up a Ducati Monster 1200. The design is almost spot on. Can't wait to see specs on these bikes. Also interesting to see where they go on pricing

While I think most of us here don't want these new bikes to be replacements for the Sportster (although I fear they are), The announcement said that there would be four new displacements from 500 cc to 1250 cc in the new modular engine. I'm guessing that makes 500 cc, 750 cc, 1000 cc, and 1250 cc.

I really hope these things replace the Street 500 and 750. The street isn't a bad bike, but it really seems to me like Harley got about 90% through development and went "Oh crap we have to put a Euro 4 complaint muffler on this thing" and just slapped that big ugly muffler on the right side, then kluged together the right side foot pegs to reach around the muffler and exhaust system.

I saw that as well. We'll have to see if anything significant comes out in a few weeks. However, I am beginning to suspect the Custom may be a version of the next sporty.

I wonder it I can talk them into letting me borrow one for the 2021 Iron Butt Rally ...

Yes, I suspect that is the case too. It's not a bike that appeals to me at all in the design we've seen so far. But I'm sure it will find a following. I personally prefer what Triumph did to maintain their retro look. However I doubt I would be in the market for another bike any which way. I do hope HD find success in their new lines.

That particular bike is not one I'd be inclined top buy either, however I'll wait to pass judgment when I see it. I'd hope they'd have a few versions including one with slightly higher bars and mid pegs

A lot of people screamed when Harley dropped the Dyna, but by all accounts the new Softail is a better bike than the Dyna was.

Let's hope the MoCo continues to make improvements.

I know.......................
If I get the street fighter the wife will not question it
but if I get that bobber she will ask why I still have the Sportster and ask me to sell it

and that is out of the question

So I guess it is the street fighter

Man I own to many bikes.

NEVER!!

The proper number of bikes a person should own is N+1, where N= the current number of bikes owned
