I have a 04 883 taxes paid. I can do 100 to 105 mph. I can ride for a good while at 90 mph. I love the rush. Been like that my whole life. Wind is not bad, and she sticks to the road.

Before the conversion I could run up to 110 no problem, buried the speedo when I converted to 1200 the first time. I have since did another upgrade and can hit 120 in 4th gear unsure what 5th will do.

Gulp.

Just broke the magic hundred on my 883 w/stage 1 yesterday. Empty 4-lane highway, laying down on the tank, still lot's of turbulence. Eeeek!

Ran out of guts long before power. She was STILL pulling strong...I'm not sure where the top end is.....110mph maybe????

Yep. Read the wobble thread this morning, AFTER I did the high speed run yesterday.

I don't go there often, but you do wonder what it will do UNTIL you go there.

I like the twisties much better than the real hi-speed stuff anyway....

Only reason I even did was I wanted to see how much whoop ass she had. Although I don't know exactly the top speed. I now know its more than 105 for my bike. I was pleasantly surprised.
Ditto for me - I hit 105-108 and backed down even though there was more left. Next time I try a "speed run" I think I'll do it with full gear on and a thorough "preflight" (tire pressures, etc.) and see what she really does.

I've checked my speedometer with GPS often. It always is + or- 1 mph. My top speed was 104 without the windshield. Runs in the low 90's with shield. I run stage 1+, this is on a 2005 xl883l with perhaps a 170 lb. rider and 30 lbs. of ornaments.

They do, easily.

No one said they don't. That's not even what the thread is about. The OP, 14 years ago, was surprised that his 883 did go over 100 mph. I don't think anyone else has ever been surprised.
