Yep, still have zero squeal and clutch takeup is very smooth...

(Harley should have done this many years ago, they have to be aware of the "grenade plate" issues. FWIW I sent an email on this fix to their customer suggestion box months ago but never got a reply.)

Thanks for the update. Surdyke does not have some of the parts so I need to order from multiple sources.

I am sure they do, but in reality most bikes never have that failure because they don't get enough miles on them. Therefore no reason to fix the issue.

No reason for HD to fix it, huh
Strongly disagree with that, from what I've read here some spring plates fail in as little as 10,000 miles AND do some expensive damage. The parts guy at my local HD dealership is well aware of the issue and has some failed spring plates behind the counter. It would not cost HD more than a couple of bucks to build Sportsters at the factory with the XR1200 judder spring setup rather than the spring plate if there is even any price difference at all for the parts.
It would be right thing for HD to do and the cost would be insignificant...
