Quebec police?
I'm in Ottawa, Ontario and much of what I've done to my bike is "illegal" in Quebec. IE: no mirrors, no speedo, etc, etc. Therefore I try to stay out of Hull or Gatineau. However I rode into the Gatineau hills a couple weekends ago to attend a BBQ without getting hassled, I passed a few cops, yes it's true. :-) hahah
What are the cops in Quebec really like in general towards bikes since they have such a "nazi" reputation it seems.

I've never ridden in eastern Canada but I would probably be as just nervous of the OPP. (Ontario Provincial Police) as the police in Quebec.
Not related to the posted question but some guy in Lac La Biche, Alberta has a little complaint about RCMP (Mounties) involvment in a motorcycle accident.

I find that it depends alot on what you are riding.
The sport bikes get bothered alot here.
The stock or nearly stock Harleys are mostly left alone.
If you are wearing patches on a Harley they will pay attention ... sometimes alot of attention !
And on my Bimmer I just get a nod when they see me.

Really depends who you get. Lot of cops have bikes of their own and they seem to be the ones who understand. Then you have the macho men and yes...even some women cops, who need to put the bad boy biker in their place. The laws are also set to suppress motorcyclists as much as possible (registration fees and rules on modifications etc) I'm a young rider with 4 years experience. Not long but definitely long enough to notice the overall distaste for motorcyclists in this province.
