what if its an emergency, such as rushing to the hospital, or police station.
i have driven millions of miles in the us.
my cruise is normally set at 3mph over the limit.
cops dont even look at me.
i drive old stuff, it would be very tough for a government agency to limit my vehicle,
and americans would not be really keen on this technology.

You can override it. It's like using 'kick down' in an automatic.

Yeah, and when it will become apparent that that's what most drivers will do, next year update will be no override, or time limited one.
Those rascals in Brussels do not waste any opportunity to come up with something restrictive (themselves being immune to regulations). Why should peasants be allowed to roam freely where to and how fast they like, after all ?

The real reason for developing 5G wireless is not to support faster data rates on cell phones. It is to support greater numbers of devices, like the monitors that governments will want to implant into our lives like this speed control device. And shudder to think what might make it into the homes.

Someone gets it. This is the sort of bs that needs to stop. Some people just dont understand where this government control is going and we sure don't need anymore of this bs bleeding across the water anymore than it has. It's done enough damage to otherwise perfectly fine vehicles, wasted millions of R&D $$$ that could've been spent on things that actually matter like improving performance. Instead we get more junk taking control of the wheel waiting to malfaction in the name of safety and that saving the planet nonsense that's destroying the economy.
