Please post a pic of the fitting on top of your case.
And do not plug the transmission vent.
Trans vent has nothing to do with the tank vent

This way you can verify that you've got a vent connection between the engine and the tank. If you do, then I guess it's all good.

Confirmed, just pulled that line from the tank, blew into it... and after some gurgling oil sounds, got air coming out the breather tube.

Just did one page back, it wasn't how I remembered it and I seem to have accidentally assumed it was on the case. Trans vent is to atmosphere, that's how I have it now.
