Good point about them maybe being LED.
I just now got lucky and scored all four signals with mounts on a trade site called Mercari for $21 shipped! If they are indeed original, and in as good shape as he says, I will have hit the jackpot. Seller mostly sells used clothes, so looks like he didn't know anything.
I will install the rears and report back. I will be needing the mounting studs, tho. Those cost more than the the four lights!

So, I installed stock rear turn signals with new wiring back to the connectors under the seat as it was intended, and everything now works as it should. I believe it was the little plate mounted lights that were causing the problem. Good riddance to those!
