I found a pic I believe from this thread:
http://xlforum.net/forums/showthread...86#post1334586

[QUOTE=4-pac;1334586]5 mile test ride I noticed the shifter shaft seal trying to pop itself out of the primary cover, back to the garage. Clean all the oil off the seal and cover, still can’t get it to stay. Off to the auto part place for a tube of contact cement and an o-ring (5/8 OD x ½” ID x 1/8” thick) to put some extra pressure on the seal from the outside. The extra o-ring is next to the shifter peg.

Thanks SportsterPaul & HippySmack for the directions...

I updated the SP with info on the '04-vs-'06 Shifter Shafts (with pics) and added the tip about using an o-ring to tighten up the oil seal. I also included the tip about putting tape over the shifter shaft splines to protect the new oil seal when installed...

I've created a page in the REF section on Evo Crankcase Pressure and Engine Breathing.

Still working on CC pressure.
But in searching threads, some people get off topic (me included ).
So I end up kind of working on several different topics at once as I come across them.

Consequently, I've added a page in the REF section for Aftermarket Air Cleaners and Modifications.
It's not populated yet but I did include a piece on routing the vent lines below the head vents on 91 up models.
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...nifold_exhaust

edit:
I also added JohnK's 04 Style Oil Cap Repair:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/techtalk:evoil04b

and shameless', Rebuilding the Kidney Tank Oil Cap in the IH section.
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/techtalk:ihil04a

I've been doing more research than anything along with the CC pressure thread.
I've had ReddTigger's "Time-Sert Repair on Engine Case Cylinder / Head Stud Hole" pics in the wiki for awhile now but just finally included the descriptions for.
I moved it to the Evo Engine Mechanicals section in it's own sub doc.
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...evo:engmech03b

Likewise, I started another sub doc for general cylinder / head stud issues off that same Engine Mechanicals page.
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...evo:engmech03a

Created a page detailing the Squish Band.
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...:ref:svcproc26

Created a separate page in REf Engine Mechanicals for Breather Venting / Relocation.
Sub docs off that page include:

Converting to Vent Line Extensions
Converting to Filtered Vents out of the Air Cleaner
Installing a Catch Can on the Breather Vent Line
Converting Head Breathers to Cam Chest Breather
Adding a Vent Between the Oil Tank and the Cam Chest
Installing a Buell Rocker Box / Breather System on an Evo Sportster
86-90 Engine Breather Mod Using #4 Cam as an Oil Slinger
Fitting a Breather Horseshoe Tube to a Stock Ham Cam A/C
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/t...:ref:engmech05
Some of these were parked on the oil system modifications page until now.
Others are new articles.

Added more pics to the REf Body Parts section on foot controls:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/techtalk:ref:body01

I've also been going back and adding to many of the articles that are already there but not complete.
If you see anything needed to be added or anything new to be presented, as always, let us know and we'll work on it.

Thanks to all who have contributed their time in efforts in the XLFORUM.

Hippy,

I went through the HD SIP site and got all Sportster engine specs from the available Owner's Manuals.
Just a few years missing.

Not all years had horsepower, torque ratings disappeared about 2011

I attached an Excel Spreadsheet.

Is there a listing of fastener torque specs?
Also general measurement specs for inspection of wear , clearances , etc..

I looked the other day, but I'm just finding my way around.
