Bent forward control... peg?

Dumped my 2000 sportster 883 std. in the rain last friday. I bent the "peg" on the left side shifter on my forward controls. I don't want to spend another couple hundred on a whole new control set when all I need is this swivel piece that has the peg that the lever attaches to.

My question:
Can I just replace this "peg" piece of my forward controls?
If I can replace it, what would it be called? Is there a part number?

These forwards I have are the general chrome aftermarket forwards you see everywhere on ebay for 91-03 sportsters.

I took the shifter lever off and took a couple photo's of what I'm talking about. I tried bending it back with a large spanner but could not get the right leverage. Might have to mcgyver something together to help me with that.

Any ideas would be a great help

That looks like the kit I put on OrlandoDrivers '97.
eBay has the whole kit for about $200. Now instead I would start hitting up all the swap meets and flea markets and find a used one cheap.
But for now you could remove the bent arm from the sleeve its in and put the bent part in a vise and then with leverage grab the longer end. Heat may need to be applied. Just protect the splines.

Yeah, what he said. Only heat SHOULD be applied. Make it easier to straighten & save the steel from stress cracking.

I'm going to give it a shot tomorrow when I get some time in the garage.
A few more questions.

What would you suggest I apply the heat with? Would a blow torch be suitable?
Should I get it red hot? or is that something I should avoid?
