Hate when that happens. He came out of it OK though.

Baggers need a ton of stuff stripped off before canyon racing.
My stripped FXRT is high enough to take that turn.

His mistake (and many riders) is that he was leaning away from the turn which pushes the bike lower.
You want to lean into the turn, looking over your left mirror in this case, then pushing the bike more upright.
Lee Parks has some great videos of this done correctly on baggers.

true he was away from the curve... narrowing in this way his margins of error...


IMO his mistake was to have insisted leaning too much and for too long... because he ran too fast...
he was keeping his lean instead of slow down... despite his bike was scraping the peg, clutch cover and the bag already for a while....

i would say that not everytime the best performed curve is that of who had leaned more...
but of who had leaned better...

Ergo..

is not said that the guy who had leaned better and faster... is the same guy who had leaned more...

I had those Bridgestone Spitfires on my Vulcan. I pushed it past the edge once. Those are not designed for cornering, shaped like an upside down half D. That was the last time I used one.
