If a bicycle light out shines your stock sportster light, you have other issues.

Look, I'm 61 and it's a good way to get myself killed so, I never ride at night and don't need one.

I'm 70 and I never ride at night which makes the need my my LED headlight even greater. The difference in brightness is unbelievable between the old halogen and the new LED headlights. If you've ever seen a group of motorcycles headed your way, you can definitely see the difference.
The old saying, "Ride like you're invisible", still applies. I think I only paid about $25 for my plug-and-play LED headlight. SAFETY FIRST!

This poll is from 2010.

Here we are 10 years later and there are so many choices for so little money that this poll has aged out.... IMO.

I got the one in silver. It looks like the price went up. It is still worth it. I would guess it is at least 3 times brighter than the stock bulb.

Ebay may have on. I saw one for 27 bucks and change.

I put one on my 1980 XLS iron.

Edit: use search term on ebay search
