That is total BS. They should only be concerned with the vehicle they are insuring. What if you just turn off your phone when riding your bike? I know that's a bullshit solution, but it might be your only one. Maybe just remember to always shut off your phone before driving or riding?
I won't take long to make that a habit if necessary. Like buckling your seat belt or putting on your helmet.
