Great news.
Just curious, Did you get a description of what they did to them?

Were they welded and reground or just reground enough to get past the bad spots? It seems the later would reduce the thickness of the case hardening and reduce the size of the base circle. Did they do all the lobes or just the one with the bad spot? Any heat treatment involved?

Whatever, glad you're happy.

If quality is good, if they stayed within 10%, looks like well worth it.
Yes way under estimate. Quality is impeccable. They made a new set of masters to accomplish my work order. If I ever have the need again I will not hesitate to go straight to them.

Work sheet states disassembled repair as necessary per customer. Ground not polished.

They are ground to Titan minus minus specs not under cut to some new cam grind. That would indicate to me they were either welded or replaced. Work sheet does not give that detail. Per phone conversation I was told lobes would be harder than original heat treat.

“A set of masters”, does that mean that any of us schlubs can contact them for a set of - - cams!?!

Ain't that a million dollar question. I don't think so. I think it has something to do with patent rights. I think you have to have a used set to work with. I could be mistaken. It's worth a phone call.

Cam grinders are just like key machines. They need a profile to follow. A master provides the profile for grinding the new cams.
So, if they have made masters for these cams it now becomes much easier to make a subsequent set(s).
