Default Changing primary oil (sportster 1999)

Hi fellas

Its time to change the primary oil of my sportster.

Some say drain/remove inspection cover, fill etc, others say 'keep it easy' and just drain, and fill the recomended amount through the little inspection hole (two small screws) and close. What do you think? Would be easier to drain and just fill the recomended 950ml through the small hole

Been doing it that way for the last few hundred thousand miles. Seems to do just fine.

That's how I do it unless I want to take a look around.

Here's the Sportsterpedia section on the Primary Oil Level:
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/techtalk:evoil07

If you're going to do it without checking, I'd recommend no more than 30oz...

Others will disagree...
