Yes, those are the SE versions of the Buell "E" cams. The difference is that the SE versions are configured for an XL cam box, instead of an XB cam box.

4th down in this list:

A 1998-2003 1200S uses "W" cams, which are the first ones in that list I posted. W cams first came out on the 1200S, then were used in all 1200's beginning in 2004, then all 883's beginning in 2007.

N4's are a whole different animal. I'll let you look up all the specs, but off the top of my head they have a 46 degree intake close point as compared to the 25 degree intake close point of the W's. Intake close point is the main driver of the rpm range of the cams. So they're made for more top end power. They also have 56 degrees of overlap, as compared with 22 degrees for the W's. Overlap enables the exhaust to help the intake cycle, and is very beneficial for making power if you've got a good exhaust system.

In short, the W cams are pretty mild, and the N4's are more of a hot rod street grind.

A few things you should be aware of if you're considering a cam swap. First, assuming your heads and all are stock, you're limited to "bolt-in" cams only. Bolt-in means they're designed to work with your stock valve train hardware and have enough clearance in all the critical areas. So basically they go right in without any gymnastics on your part.

Second, among bolt-in grinds for your generation of bike, the Andrews N4's are really a tried and proven grind. Buell shipped tens of thousands of bikes equipped with N4's right from the factory, both with Lightning heads (which is what you have) and Thunderstorm heads (their second generation of performance head). You can do much better if you do head work and/or upgrade to the 2004+ heads, but for stock 91-03 1200 heads, especially Lightning heads like you have, the N4's are your best bet.

Third, bear in mind that your stock "W" cams have the earliest intake close timing of any cams available for the XL platform, and as such, they deliver the most bottom end power. Any cam change you can make will subtract from the bottom end and add to the top end.

Here's a chart showing the N4's as compared to the W cams with no other changes. This chart was not done on a 1200S, but it's representative of the difference between the two cam grinds, so I think you can expect a similar kind of result.
