Saturday, September 30, 2023: New Jersey Ironhead Sportster Breakfast (G.B.B.)
The GBB co-founders are planning another Ironhead breakfast gathering in New Jersey. We want to celebrate folks who not only "own" an Ironhead Sportster, but actually get out and RIDE it. If you fall into that category and are within riding distance of Central New Jersey, then you may want to consider joining us.
The plan is very simple and unofficial: we all meet for brunch at a diner in New Jersey to check out each other's Ironheads, talk about Ironheads, and eat. There won't be any "after breakfast" ride or cookout planned this year, but feel free to do a little route planning on your own to explore the scenic back roads of Hunterdon County, NJ and Bucks County, PA (just across the river). Again, none of this is official, just some like-minded Ironhead enthusiasts using a diner breakfast as an excuse to take a ride to hang with other Ironhead Sportster folks.
There are no requirements to attend other than please be riding an Ironhead Sportster because the diner is small and we want to save room for actual Ironhead people.
Here are the details on the Fall 2023 Gathering:
When: Saturday, September 30th, 2023
Where: Orlando's Cafe - 310 Rt. 31 North, Hopewell, NJ 08525
Time: 10:00 A.M.
Please don't think your bike has to be original or shiny to attend. We welcome all Ironhead Sportsters: shiny restorations, crusty choppers, works-in-progress, customs, originals, daily riders, etc. Just be a cool person who enjoys riding and talking Ironhead Sportsters.

*disclaimer* The GBB is an informal gathering of riders. Nothing is official except the date, time, and location. If you want to join us, then ride over and have a great time. If you can't make it, then don't...no excuses. No need to RSVP, just get in the garage and make sure your bike is ready to make the trip on September 30th if you want to hang out.
We hope to see you on September 30th. If you need permission from your old lady, best to ask soon.
If you have any questions or are making a long trip and want to discuss routes, etc., post them here or message me and I will answer.

If you are attending the Ironhead Breakfast, we will see you at 10 AM tomorrow morning! Ride carefully if the roads are wet or you get caught in any showers.

The weather outlook was less than ideal, but we carried on! When I arrived I wasn't sure if anyone else was coming:

However, as 10:00 got closer, more and more Ironheads rolled in! All in all, we had 6 Ironhead riders:
16ouncePBR's 1962 XLR Tribute:
 [url=https://flic.kr/p/2p6zs8n]
Magneto Sportster's 1969 XLCH:
 [url=https://flic.kr/p/2p6wSPP]
Ironhead Art's 1968 XLCH:

Papa Magneto's 1968 XLH:

I forgot this guy's forum handle, but he rode his 1974 XLCH:

Punk Rock Jimmy's 1968 XLCH:

Considering that it rained the entire day and night before the Ironhead Breakfast, I would say we had a good turnout. Anyone coming from the south would have been riding in the rain, and anyone coming from other directions were riding on wet roads. We had a great time, we talked Ironheads, ate breakfast, and kept the GBB tradition alive.
We will probably do it again in the Spring if you missed it. Or maybe we won't, who knows. But get your Iornhead ready just in case....

I'll bet I'm not the only one thinking...
1.) Wish I was a little closer.
2.) Maybe the next one.
I would love to see my road dog in that lineup.
