Default 1977 Bright Blue

We are working on a 1977 "Bright Blue" Sportster. Can anyone help us out with the code. John Peirce does not list Bright Blue.

If it's not the original paint, a auto paint supply shop would be your best bet. They can match just about any formula these days.

That's the color Larry. I would like to find a way to match it.

That's the exact same Blue Metallic from 1977 that I got from John Pierce (H-D code FP) that I used on my '77 XLT. It's a Dupont Chromabase two stage paint. I just looked at my leftover can from John to verify the code.

Nice, a good looking practical sporty. These got a very good write up in British bike rags at the time, however sales were few as they were very expensive. Never seen an XLT in the metal despite many years of bike shows & meets

That is the stock 2 into 1 that came on those bikes, My 78 75th anniversary also has that exhaust, they show up on ebay from time to time, but are pricey
