Default TC88A and Raptor shift light

Might be a dumb question.

I have a TC88A which I am very familiar with.
I have the "WHITE" wire connected to pin "2" of the twintech
I believe this lead will drive an aftermarket Tach
Will that lead drive a Raptor shift light ?

I'd say yes, but I honestly haven't looked at the tach output on my TC88A. I've got OE tach wires tucked away already, so I never cared enough to read that part of the manual. The Raptor will take a 12V or 5V input though, so unless they did something bizarre over at DTT, I imagine it should be good.

I imagine that would still work. You've got a multiplier switch for different cylinder counts. As long as you can tap a single coil, you'd just set it up as a 2 cylinder. Dual fire on an older bike would be 1 cylinder, since you've got spark twice per rev.

Out of curiosity though, I turned the tach out on my TC88A on. What it is outputting is about 5V. My meter won't read square waves accurately, so I couldn't check frequency, but looks like tapping pin 2 would work.

It works on mine George. I just connected my raptor according to instructions off the coil as mentioned above.

I looked at the Daytona sight and it looks like the white wire should drive the shift light.
